Next, you will have a consultation with one of our Doctors. This initial visit is designed for Dr. Schmaus  to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.

After your consultation, Dr. Schmaus will perform a complete chiropractic examination testing your reflexes and flexibility. Other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests will be performed as well. However, nothing will be done in our office without your consent.

If it has been determined that a postural distortion (spinal misalignment) is present, a neurological exam and scan will be followed by very specific NUCCA three dimensional X-ray films. The analysis of these films calculates a precise, customized adjustment that will impact the whole spine.

After the x-ray analysis, we will present the findings with you and explain any issues we have found. At this point, you will receive your first upper cervical correction. This precise and gentle adjustment will help restore your body’s function and ultimately your health.

We want to help you get well and live life to the fullest as soon as possible. We will design a care plan for you that will help to restore function and health. You will experience changes throughout your body as you move through the 3 phases of care (Correction, Healing and Stabilization). We will continue to monitor your improvement to ensure results.

Dr. Schmaus will perform the posture exam to determine if you have maintained your correction. If not, you will receive an adjustment. If you have maintained your correction, Dr. Schmaus will take a post set of x-rays to determine the amount of correction that was achieved.
